Kamala Irrigation Management Office, Portaha, Dhanusha, is a key government body operated under the Government of Nepal. This office is dedicated to expanding irrigation facilities in the agricultural sector of Dhanusha district and improving the livelihoods of farmers through sustainable water management.

Our main objective is to utilize the water of the Kamala River effectively by developing modern irrigation systems and providing technical assistance, training, and innovative technologies to local communities. We have implemented sustainable and environmentally friendly irrigation solutions to address the challenges of climate change. Our projects encompass both small and large-scale irrigation schemes that aim to boost agricultural productivity and contribute to building a prosperous Nepal. In collaboration with local farmers, communities, and stakeholders, we are committed to reaching every field with water and building self-reliant communities.
